Cellar Process Coordinator

Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision provides technical administrative support and customer service to cellar management staff for the purpose of continuous improvement. The Cellar Process Coordinator utilizes our business systems to organize and maintain cellar quality and safety programs.

Functional Responsibility

Essential Duties

  • Leads by example (strong work ethic) and fosters an environment of trust and respect
  • Interacts in an effective and positive manner
  • Develops, writes, formats and publishes Standard Work to ensure consistent practices relevant to today’s business throughout the department and organization; ensures materials and documents are up-to-date and easy to access. Maintains Cellar ISO, Safety, GMPs, and training records
  • Collaborates with peers to develop systems that streamline and connect processes between their work areas to ensure efficient workflow and avoid redundancy and/or disconnects; prevents individuals from working in a vacuum
  • Creates and presents reports to the Cellar department with milestones and opportunities for improvement through data mining and analysis. Assists with DOE/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participates in Cellar internal and external audits
  • Oversees compliance of cellar safety programs and inspections. Audits all retainable forms to ensure accuracy and thoroughness. Assists with coaching as necessary
  • Educates and trains others to ensure an operational understanding of the laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern their area of responsibility
  • Ensures temporary employees receive the appropriate training and maintains the appropriate records of this training. Acts as point of contact for the temporary agencies
  • Facilitates training sessions
  • Assist with the audit of temporary employee timekeeping
  • Conducts research and attends webinars, seminars, and courses in their area of expertise and uses gained knowledge to continually improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities

Non-Essential Duties

  • Ensures tank entry equipment is maintain according to OSHA standards
  • Assists with the maintenance of department’s SharePoint site
  • Maintains Cellar Communication Board at Production Break Room
  • Provides general administrative support as needed
  • Performs monthly DSP inventory and forwards to appropriate internal customers
  • Assists the material handler with maintaining Cellar MSDS books
  • Maintains Cellar office supplies, provides daily mail runs for Cellar offices

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivilent

3+ years of production or process operation experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good familiarity with processing equipment, Lean Principles, Continuous Improvement and DOE. Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, problem solving ability and good computer skills

Knowledge or experience with FSSC, ISO or other quality related certification a plus

Working Conditions

Protected heights to 45’, outdoors with marked temperature and humidity changes, exposure to dust, fumes, gases and noisy equipment
